Well, had my MRI on my shoulder today. Depsite every one saying you can get claustrophobic in the MRI machine, ands maybe some slight trepidation on going in, I felt quite good even comforted in the close proximity of the whole process. It is a marvelous machine although quite noisey. Lots of thumping and banging while it does its' thing. But after about 30-45 min in the machine and maybe a small nap(thats how comforted I felt)and it was over.
I then had to sit around Holy Sprirt Northside for a further hour while I waited for my films to be ready. I had to take them back to work with me.
I got back to work and immediately reported to my Medical Officer. he had a quick look at the films and hinted that he couldn't read MRI films. He then said that what he was looking at was suspicously like a fracture. Now my concern levels are coming up. However he ended the visit by saying let's wait for the report to arrive and go from there. So now I have to wait until tomorrow to get that bit over and done with.
Hopefully it's not as bad as he thinks.
N.b I would much rather a fracture than a tendon or ligament injury
Will keep all posted. I am hoping that I can keep my season on track as planned.
